CHILL BROS

CHILL BROS

THE STORY

Our focus for the documentary’s story pulls on the universal thread that just about every single person has: a memory of the local ice cream shop from childhood. We explore how Tampa didn’t have that, and how the Chillura family dreamed of one.

We navigate through the important life moments that got us to where Chill Bros is today—shown through a balanced combination of archival photography/footage and a naturalistic voiceover.

We highlight the quality over quantity focus at Chill Bros—seen through stunning cinematography and well crafted messaging about the importance of the sourced ingredients…just like the Italian inspirations.

We remind viewers of the family-grown element—demonstrated by the authenticity of this storyline. We don’t need to try too hard here, just showcase the familial relationships candidly for the audience.

All this, presented in a fast paced, stylistic documentary that never feels too commercial. The playful-ness and locality of the brand should permeate even with the possible discussion of expanding in a national way.

THE HOOK

A good reference for the hook is a fashion brand I creative direct for. With Saint Rascal, I created this stylistic teaser to give their customers a sense of their brand ethos.

Similarly, this documentary piece for Chill Bros should open with a quick-cut stylistic section to give the audience a sense of the brand. This would cater to the Chill Bros brand—this video is solely an example from my previous work.

The hook will be a perfect piece for a social cut-down.

TAMPA

Just as this footage paints the mundane of New York City in a beautiful light, we will shoot cinematic moments of ordinary moments in Tampa.

I know Ybor City specifically has so much beauty to capture. This footage will help provide context to the complete the story and also serves to champion Tampa and give the local audience a reason to care. I’ve looked, there’s no cinematic footage of Tampa like this.

VIDEO PORTAITS

The Chill Bros key team each have a video portrait in the respective space that best represents their role.

A montage of these would be perfect for a social cut-down.

STYLISM

These stylistic shots will look great in the documentary piece, but will also be great for quick social cutdowns.

CHEF’S TABLE INSPIRATION

Chef’s Table is an excellent reference for the level of care and detail for the shot surrounding food. Just as Chill Bros strives for perfection with food, cinematography should match. Aesthetic, not pretentious.

ARCHIVAL CONTENT

Adjust the style to match with Chill Bros lighter/playful branding, but using collage that demonstrates the love & care that went into this family business using everything from old photos to early design concepts to beginning blueprints.
